About Timezone Overlap

A free, privacy-respecting tool for finding meeting times that work across time zones.

What it does

Timezone Overlap helps remote teams, freelancers and anyone with contacts abroad answer a single question quickly: when are we all available at the same time? You add two to four cities, set each person's working hours, and the tool shows — on one shared timeline — the window when everyone's workday overlaps, expressed simultaneously in each city's local clock.

How it works

Everything runs in your browser. The tool uses the time-zone database built into modern browsers (the IANA database, the same standard used by operating systems), so daylight saving transitions, half-hour offsets such as India's, and date-line crossings are all handled automatically for any date you choose. Calculations are done on absolute UTC time and then converted to each city's local wall clock, which is what keeps the results correct even on the awkward days when clocks change or a meeting lands on a different calendar date for one side.

Privacy

The planner collects nothing. The cities, hours and dates you enter stay on your device; they are encoded into the page link only so you can copy and share a setup, and that link is never sent to us. We have no accounts, no analytics, and no database. The site does show ads to cover its costs — see the privacy policy for exactly what that involves and how to manage your choices.

Who makes it

Timezone Overlap is built and maintained by an independent developer based in Belgium. It started as a personal need — coordinating calls across several continents without doing mental arithmetic every time — and grew into a tool worth sharing.
